I promise this is the last review on a lip set this Blogmas. Promise! The ELF Mad For Matte Lip Set is a set of four lipsticks, perfect for the Christmas season.
Having a range of neutrals, brights and berry, this set is definitely one to appeal to the masses, and you can find one for everyone in this set.
Coming in a wind up pencil, rather than a traditional bullet, these are definitely easy to apply which I love for the deeper shades as they double up as a liner. The pigmentation of these products is incredible and they glide on like a dream. The longevity isn’t the best, but for the price point (see below), you really can’t complain.
From top to bottom the shades are as follows: Praline is a brown toned nude, Wine is a deep red wine toned lipstick (true to its name), Rich Red is a red with pinky undertones and Berry Sorbet is a pink toned berry shade. My most worn is obviously Praline, but I’ve been loving getting Wine out for special occassions (both the lipstick and the drink – it’s Christmas after all!). An added bonus is the ends of these pop up to find a little sharpener at the end which means you can keep these in tip top shape.
As this set retails for £12.50, each lipstick retails for less than £3.15 for 1.4g, which is a little bit more than your average drugstore lipstick (with most lipsticks on the high street coming in at around 4g and £7). But if you bear in mind that these are being imported from across the pond it’s a pretty good deal.
ELF is super accessible here now, with free shipping to the UK over £25, no customs charges as well as always having a range of free gifts when you hit a threshold spend. There’s definitely no reason not to give ELF products a go!
PS. You know I said at the start that this was my last lip set review? I lied. See you in the week for my *last* one.
