West End LIVE is just 10 days away, which means it’s time to start thinking about your stagey weekend in London. Now, I’ve never actually been to West End LIVE because it’s around the time of a lot of family events (last year it fell on the weekend on my brother’s 21st) but this year I’ve managed to schedule my life to give myself the chance to experience it first hand.
Tips & Tricks
If you’re a theatre fan, it’s very easy to get yourself caught up in a certain show, cast or individual actors. Believe me, I’ve been there (especially with the original London cast of The Book of Mormon). But sometimes you find yourself wanting to support them a little more, and there are loads of easy ways to do this.
It’s been a long time since I went to the theatre, and after booking tickets to see The Book of Mormon for the fourth time the bug came right back. In May I went to see A Comedy About A Bank Robbery and An American In Paris, and next week I’m seeing Dreamgirls and Half A Sixpence. I just love the magic of live theatre and when you know the tricks of the trade, you can quite often get reasonably priced West End tickets and not spend a bomb. And I want to share my tips on how to get cheap theatre tickets with you! Spoiler: on the five shows I’ve mentioned I spent less than £100, so you’re looking at less than £20 per ticket which is a steal when you know which seats to book!
