I’m pretty crap at using more than shampoo, conditioner and dry shampoo in my hair. But with summer coming up and I know I’m going to have 7 whole weeks off work (basically the only perk of working in education is the long holiday) I want to get into a better routine with my hair. So with time on my hands and a lot of products to try out, I have a mission on my hands. Starting over a month before I go on break, as I mean to go on, I’ve been testing out a fairly new product to hit the high street shelves: the VO5 Express Primer Spray*.
Is it weird that I love washing my hair? I feel like a lot of people complain about the arduous task, but I love doing it. Maybe it’s because I tie my hair up every day for work so don’t have to worry about what it looks like, but who knows. Despite loving a good lather in my hair, I know it’s not great to strip my hair of its natural oils every single day so I use dry shampoo on day three hair. I spotted Boots were offering the new Soap & Glory Rushower Dry Shampoo for an introductory price of £3 back in April and for that price, it was worth a shot.
It doesn’t seem five minutes since I wrote my winter favourites, but here I am with my spring favourites. 2017 is flying! I’ve been trying out so many new products this month that I could easily just call this my May favourites, but some of these have been favourites since March so that would be a little unfair on them.
This definitely was not the post I had planned today, but we’re just going to roll with it. About 10 days ago I was sorting out my various beauty stashes and found so many products with just one or two uses left. I had to finish these bits up, so I have an impromptu empties post today. I actually really want to start doing these monthly as I love reading them, yet nobody seems to do them anymore. I have written empties posts in the past, but I’m going to restart from scratch and turn this into a monthly thing.
For the past three Christmases I’ve been a student. For two of those years, the entirety of December was a big party, and I spent most of December on crutches in the final year. However, being a working girl now I’ve been invited to drinks for Christmas, and I want to make myself look my best.
There are a few easy ways to make yourself Christmas party ready in a pinch, especially if it’s a quick rush job after work.
I’m rubbish with my hair. Like, really rubbish. I pretty much own shampoo, conditioner, a hair mask and some dry shampoo and that’s all I need. But I guess I’m a little high maintenance in some respects as I do use three different shampoos and two different hair masks over a two week period. And I own way more. Yes, I am high maintenance with my hair.
Let me explain…
