What I’ve Been Loving #1

Is it just me that feels the pressure of finding new products or rediscovering old ones to write about as ‘favourites’ each month? If I’m totally honest, my favourites don’t change. My makeup and skincare routine has its staples and I might switch up a mask or a lipstick every now and again. Instead, I’m going to start sharing What I’ve Been Loving every now and again to really showcase the products and other goodies I’ve been enjoying.

In here are a couple of beauty bits and a few other things I’ve been really enjoying at the minute. Think of this as my last monthly favourite post, but my first ‘what I’ve been loving’.

I’ll go to beauty first and I have three products here. The Ren V-Cense Revitalising Night Cream is my all time favourite night cream and it’s my biggest splurge on skincare with an RRP of £32. The smell may put you off but the moisturising properties are so worth it. Secondly is the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner which is the only liquid liner I’ve ever used successfully. I won this in their Pink Friday giveaway and haven’t looked back since. It’s in a felt tip nib(?) and super easy to use – I highly recommend this. Thirdly is the KIKO Luscious Cream Lipstick in 502 which was as hangover purchase earlier this month. This colour is a lot longer lasting than the other KIKO lipstick that I own and even clings on during meals. Last but not least for my beauty favourites is my trusty Lorac Pro Palette which I bought when I was in America in the summer. I’ve been moving out of the gold/bronze eye look recently and have been going for a very neutral look which this gives me brilliantly.

My favourite TV shows this month has been Making A Murderer (of course) and Switched at Birth. I’m not going to go on about Making A Murderer because it’s been everywhere, but Switched at Birth is what it says on the tin – two babies, switched at birth. It’s your typically teenage drama series which is one of my favourite genres.

Shock horror: healthy eating (see the avocado – nice touch right?) and going to the gym have been two of my favourite things this month. As I write this post I’m sitting in a post-Zumba sweat and desperately need to have a shower but this was important. This month I’ve bought a ridiculous amount of recipe books for loads of healthy inspiration and it’s going pretty well. The book in that photo was a recommendation from Anna which is great for strength exercises at the home or at the gym. I’m currently 8lbs down(!!!) – come on and bring on the beach body!

Sorry this was a rushed post but I’m shattered from the gym and just want to crawl into bed with a cup of tea and an episode of Switched at Birth. Your regularly scheduled posts will commence again on Friday.
