This time last week I posted my collection of liquid and cream highlights and I told you that the Topshop Glow Post in Polished was identical to Topshop’s powder highlight in Crescent Moon but I’ve never shared this highlighter with you which surprises me a little.
I’ve had this highlighter for around 4 or 5 months now and it has quickly become my most loved highlighter, and for good reason.
The colouring in this highlight it very much pearl, with pink tones when in hit certains light. There are no chunks of glitter in this which I absolutely love (I haven’t got time for glitter on my face on a day to day basis) and it diffuses really beautifully across the cheek bones. It’s so easy to blend and just looks so natural. Yes a blinding highlight is great fun, but it’s not practical for every day. This is the higlight you need for your everyday subtlety.
I must use this on 90% of the days that I wear makeup and I’ve only made a tiny dint in it. In comparison to the likes of the most hyped up highlighter on the market, Champagne Pop, this contains 6.5g of product which is 1.5g less than the Becca highlighters but this makes it around £1.50 per gram compared to the £4 per gram that Becca charge. A real steal if I do say so myself!
My only complaint is that there is no mirror. I never usually use a mirror in a palette or a compact unless I’m travelling, but I’m not worried about travelling with this highlighter so I’d like a mirror. I also find I do tend to use a hand held mirror when I do my highlight so I can get into great natural light to look at it. I do think it’s odd that there isn’t a mirror in this as there is a mirror in their blush compacts which are a lot smaller, but it’s not life ruining that there isn’t one.
This highlighter retails for £10 (although student discount was an angel for this because that saved me one whole English pound) and can be bought in Topshop and, on occasion, on Feel Unique. If you don’t have this in your collection your are daft, because it’s the most perfect every day highlight and look absolutely beautiful.
