This is the second of three eyeshadow palette declutter posts; who knew I had so many eyeshadow palettes? Oh wait, I did. Today I’m sharing my declutter of my larger drugstore palettes, as opposed to the quads in my collection. Please don’t judge me for the amount I’m getting rid of; my drawer is still full!
I don’t need to rave about my favourite setting spray, the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, anymore than I have in the past, but what I can say is that it’s quite pricey. I’ve been looking for some budget options to replace my favourite but I’ve been struggling. Some I’ve enjoyed, others not so much. But the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Illuminating Setting Spray is one that I’ve been using for a little while and it’s time to give my 2 cents about it.
I feel like facial sprays are becoming more and more popular in the makeup world. When I first started getting into beauty the two heroes were always MAC Fix+ and Urban Decay All Nighter, and whilst they are firm favourites in my collection, more and more are coming to the forefront. Whether you’re priming, setting your makeup or just giving your makeup a boost, there is facial spritz for you.
I’m going to start this post off by saying I know that Makeup Revolution have had a lot of stick recently for blatantly copying products from high end brands, but I’m not putting my opinions into the ring in this post. Whether I spend my money on those products or not it doesn’t matter, and it’s doesn’t matter to me if you agree with me buying them or not. Back in January, I did buy one of their palettes – their dupe for the Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Palette – the Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette.
I feel like this post is long awaited if you follow me on twitter, and it’s a post that’s been almost a month in the making. It’s my Boxing Day Sale haul! I went a bit mad this year as it was my first Boxing Day in employment so I actually had money to spend for a change. My makeup stash has grown considerably after this and I’m sort of ashamed, but I really wanted to show you some of the incredible deals that I managed to find last month.
I’m truly a believer of not having to spend a lot of money to get a good product, and the Makeup Revolution Essential Mattes 2 Palette is a great example of this.
Have you noticed that there are not a lot of matte tones in palettes so you have to use about four palettes for a decent eye look? Well I have now cut that down to two palettes because this gives me perfect crease shades.
