A couple of weeks ago I popped onto the Superdrug website to treat myself to a couple of the products from the new Zoella collection and ended up dropping almost £40. Whoops? Whilst of course I’ll be reviewing most of these things in due course, I’m going to share what I bought here just to let you know what I’ve been picking up recently. You can also check out my brand new shop page which I plan to update every time I add anything to my beauty collection so you can keep on top of my stash. Look at me being a pro blogger! Disclaimer: this will of course contain affiliate links (sorry if you don’t like them; you don’t have to click through). It’s currently missing a couple of bits from this post due to a photography issue but I promise to update this as soon as the issue is resolved.
A lot of the Zoella collections don’t appeal to me, however the sound of an elderflower and pomegranate scent was right up my street so I told myself I’d treat myself to one thing from the brand new Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato Collection. Four products later, here I am hauling them. Please somebody remind me that I don’t need anymore body products! The scent is beautifully fresh for summer, and since I love a glass or two of elderflower cordial on a warmer day, I couldn’t resist!
The product I actually intended to purchase was the Zoella Beauty Bath Frosting. I’ve never tried any sort of bath milk before, so the idea of 4 individual sachets really appealed to me. You simply swirl it under warm running water and dip your toes in. I can’t wait to use this one – I’m definitely most excited for this product of the four that I picked up.
As I said, I couldn’t stop at just one product and ended up buying both of the body washes in the collection. The first body wash is the Zoella Beauty Shower Sauce, which reminds me of strawberry sauce that you’d put on ice cream. I’m not a big sauce fan now, but as I child I loved it! It doesn’t seem to be much different to any other shower gel, but I guess I’ll see when I test it out. The other body wash in the collection is the Zoella Beauty Shower Shake, and is supposed to be more moisturising than its sister wash. Personally I don’t rate the packaging that this comes in. It’s quirky and will appeal to Zoe’s intended audience, but I think it feels quite cheap and the lid doesn’t close properly on mine.
The final product I picked up from the range is the Zoella Beauty Body Pudding which is a whipped body cream. I definitely don’t need any more body moisturisers as I have half a drawer full (which I’m going to reorganise to squeeze all this into when I finish this post), but I couldn’t say no. This does have small beads in so I’m interested to see what happens to these when I use this.
Keeping on the trend of bath products, I picked up the Radox Feel Pampered with Shea & Ginger Bath Soak. This isn’t anything exciting, I’m just nearly out of my current bubble bath and tend to save my Lush Bubble Bars for proper pamper nights, rather than every day. This also smells really fresh, and less indulgent for the summer months.
The final four items are all skincare products from ranges I already really enjoy. Recently I’ve spoken about how impressed I was with the Superdrug Vitamin E Nourishing Eye Cream, and although I wasn’t impressed with the Hot Cloth Cleanser when I tried it, I thought I’d try a couple more items. I’ve been looking for a budget facial spray after really enjoying using the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist so decided to give the Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Mist a go. Since being back from holiday, my skin has been a little dry so I’m hoping this does the trick! The second product from the collection that I picked up is the Superdrug Vitamin E Gentle Micellar Solution as I’m always game for trying new micellar waters (even though we all know that the Garnier Micellar Water is my absolute favourite). These are frequently on offer, and at buy one get one half price, I was definitely happy to test them both out.
The final two products I picked up were the new L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks. I already own the original three (I’ve reviewed the Glow and Purity masks in the past, and picked up the Detox mask earlier in the year) so decided it was only right to own the brand new L’Oreal Pure Clay Bright Mask to even skin tone and illuminate, and the L’Oreal Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Mask to clear and unclog pores. I’ll be comparing and contrasting all the masks from the collection in the next month or two so keep your eyes peeled.
Have you treated yourself to anything from Superdrug recently? I feel like they’re really upping their game at the moment and really enjoy going into store now (but free delivery over £10 is very difficult to resist so quite often show from them from the comfort of my bed). I’m sure it won’t be too long before I make another purchase!
