It’s all very well wearing a lot of makeup, but if you’ve not got a good base then what’s the point? It won’t look nice if you don’t keep the canvas fresh. And that’s why skincare is so important! I’ve recently been putting a few bits on my wishlist and thought I would share it with you.
I’m obsessed with the Pixi Glow Tonic and I’m dying to try some more products from them. For Christmas, I was given the Gift of Glow (which I still need to dip into), but I also have a couple more bits on my wishlist in terms of Pixi skincare. The first is the Pixi Glow Mud Mask, which is described as a 15 minute facial in a tube. Similar to the L’Oreal Clay Masks, this uses clay, along with salt, to draw out any impurities, giving your skin a quick fix radiance boost. Just what my skin needs at the moment!
The other Pixi product I’ve firmly got my eye on is the Pixi Double Cleanse, which was created in collaboration with Caroline Hirons. I’ve been after this since it’s release at the start of the year, but I have a lot of other cleansers to get through before I pick it up. I am all about the double cleanse and I love that this is a two-in-one product – perfect for travel. I may even pick this up for my trip to Spain in July so that I only have to take one cleansing product with me!
Now I’ve come to writing this, I’ve realised that I’m after a lot of masks and glow giving products. Starting with the masks, I’ve been reading a lot of rave reviews on the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask and whilst £18 per mask is very pricey, I’m interested to see if it’s worth it. Like the Pixi Glow Mud Mask, this is another product that is supposed to give you a 15 minutes facial – definitely seems like quick fixes are the in thing with skincare at the moment!
Another mask that I’ve heard amazing things about is the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask. In fact, Caudalie in general have had a lot lovely words spoken about them as of late and I’ve only tried a couple of their products. This needs correcting ASAP! Similar to the Pixi Mask in a different way to the Charlotte Tilbury Sheet Mask, this draws out impurities using clay to give an instant radiance boost. It also tightens pores which is something I definitely need for my face right now.
Alongside Caudalie, Tropic have had a ton of praise from bloggers. After reading Hayley’s review on the Tropic Good Skin Day Resurfacing Serum, I haven’t stopped thinking about it, and therefore need it. Another glow giver, this resurfaces the top layer of the skin to give a more youthful complexion overnight! I don’t use a lot of hyaluronic acid in my skincare so I’d be interested to see if this really gives my skin a much needed glow!
I love a good face wash and pamper whilst I’m in the shower. I love the Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant and am desperate to try some more of the Dermalogica skincare range. I have a few bits in my stash to try out, but I’d love to give the Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant a go. This works as a two-in-one mask and exfoliation treatment, which I’m dying to try!
Another in shower must have is a face wash, and, as mentioned earlier, I’m always all for supporting a fellow blogger. The Neal’s Yard Remedies Deliciously Ella Rose, Lime & Cucumber Facial Wash has been on my radar for a little while, and the matching moisturiser would be a must to go alongside it! To be honest, I’ve not seen a lot about either of these but they sound like they’ll smell delicious and next time I wander past a NYR store I’m going to pop in to try them out.
I’ve tried a few Kiehl’s products, with my favourite being the ultra facial overnight hydrating masque, but there are a couple of products I’m yet to try that I’ve heard incredible things about. The first is the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which everybody seems to love. This claims to recover radiance by morning which is definitely something I need in my life!
The second Kiehl’s product I’ve got my eye on is the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. I’ve got a couple of eye creams in my stash at the moment (including my favourite from Clinique), but I’m always on the hunt for a new one. I have used this on the back on my hand in store and it feels so nourishing; my undereyes are crying out for it!
And the very final product I’ve got on my wishlist at the moment is the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +. I have had a couple of samples in the past and I fell in love! This is super moisturising, and keeps your skin soft all day. This is definitely going to be a purchase of mine once I get through my current moisturiser stash.
What’s on your skincare wishlist? There are many more things that I’d love, but I thought I should stop there! Now just to save up to buy it all.
