I love skincare products. Like, really love skincare products. I’m always trying something new, whether that’s a mask or a cream or a toner. I just really enjoy trying out new things. Maybe not the best for my skin really, since I can’t find a routine that I love.
But there are some products that I will always repurchase once I’ve run out. In fact, there are 5 items that I have repurchased more times that I’d like to admit!
The first product isn’t necessarily something that people might classify as skincare but without them, I couldn’t take my makeup off. I love the Wilko Maxi Oval Cotton Pads (the dual-faced ones are my favourites, but they’re not always in stock) as they are an absolute steal and are great for makeup removal. For 50p you get 50 cotton pads, and I get through a pack of these approximately every 7-10 days. I tend to stock up and buy a few packs every time I go into Wilko so that I don’t have to. They’re just so much cheaper than most other oval cotton pads and the quality is just as good.
I don’t like using face wipes to remove makeup at all. I feel like they strip my skin and don’t do a good job at removing makeup. However, the ones that do the best job at not wrecking my skin are the Boots Essentials Refreshing Cucumber Wipes. At £1 for around 25 wipes (I think, I don’t actually know how many there are in the pack) you can’t really go wrong, and they’re so easy to come across.
My favourite micellar water is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as I think it’s the best budget friendly option. I really love Bioderma and the Skintifique Cleanser P Micellar Water* but they’re not as easy to get your hands on, and are a little pricier. But the Garnier offering does the job at a great price! The only thing that irritates me about the ‘On The Go’ size that I have is that it’s still too big to take in your hand luggage. I wish this was only 100ml, like the Bioderma travel size.
If you’ve read any of my previous skincare posts you’ll have seen the final two products I want to talk about, and they’re both toners. The Lush Tea Tree Water is my go to when I’m having a bad skin moment. As it contains tea tree oil (an antibacterial), I love using this to reduce the appearance of spots and soothe my skin. And the final product I will always repurchase, and as you can see I’ll need to do so soon, is the cult classic Pixi Glow Tonic. This definitely brightens the skin and tones beautifully, giving that real ‘glow from within’ look that everybody is after at the moment. Yes it’s £18 per bottle, but it’s definitely worth it. If you want to see a more in depth opinion on these two toners then check out my post on the two of them.
If you’ve not tried any of these products, what are you waiting for?
