Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go

Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go | Essential Twenty

In the last month or two, Rimmel have launched their Insta Collection. I’ve been using the #Insta Fix & Go* setting spray for the past few weeks and after mentioning it once or twice, it’s finally time to give you my full opinion on it. You may be able to guess from previous posts that it’s probably going to be a positive one.

We all know that my all-time favourite setting spray is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray but it’s a little pricey for everyday use. I feel like I’ve tried a thousand different setting sprays as an alternative for work (in reality it’s about six) and I think this newbie from Rimmel might just be the best yet.

Similar to the Urban Decay Quick Fix, the #Insta Fix & Go can be use both to prime and set makeup. On hot days I’ve been using this spray as a primer to give my face a quick cool down (the same way I’ve been using the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist on a warmer evening) and on cooler days, I’ve been using it simply to set my makeup. This leaves my face fairly matte and my makeup lasts all day…when it’s cooler. On hot days I still have to reach for my trusty Urban Decay companion, but this does a pretty good job on an average British day. And like all setting sprays, my makeup still rubs off around my glasses, but I’m never going to be able to get past that issue.

Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go | Essential Twenty

One of my favourite features is that the #Insta Fix & Go dries quickly once spritzed on the skin so it don’t have to spend a few minutes fanning myself before I can move and complete the getting ready process, and it doesn’t feel tight on my skin. A pretty stellar product!

At £6.99, it’s a pretty good budget option. It’s probably the best setting spray I’ve tried from the drugstore and once I’ve got through my mass collection of sprays I’d definitely consider repurchasing it. I’m slowly making my way through the Rimmel #Insta collection and I’m excited to try more from the range, especially the mattifying powder.

Have you got any budget setting sprays that you’re a big fan of?
