Project Pan 2017

on January 7, 2017

It’s no surprise to anybody reading this that I love makeup, and am pretty damn addicted to buying makeup. But as I said in my new year’s resolutions, I need to start saving money and stop spending. This year I need to cut down my stash but since I’m too much of a hoarder, I’m not just going to give it away. I’m going to make it my aim to finish up as many products that I can, without buying new ones…with a few exceptions.

I’m a stickler for rules, but I’m setting my own ones so that I can stray from the traditional rules without someone complaining that I’m doing it all wrong.

My aim is to finish up a load of products, and I’m only allowed to purchase products if I run out and they’re my favourites. The only products I’m allowed to repurchase (despite having similar products) are a Rimmel Stay Matte and Benefit Gimme Brow, as I use these every single day and have been using them religiously despite owning other similar products. I’m also going to allow myself to buy a couple of products that are high up on my list if there is a good deal on it (the original Naked palette and Naked Ultimate Basics are a must this year for me).

Skincare, haircare and body care products, on the other hand, I want to completely deplete my stash of. I’m going to be using up everything that I have and only repurchasing when I’m really out. The only exception I’m making here is the Pixi Double Cleanse when it is released because Caroline Hirons is incredible and I don’t doubt that this will be too.

The main makeup products in my life that I want to use up are Nars LagunaSoap & Glory Solar PowderMaybelline Colour Tattoo in On & On Bronze, MAC Velvet TeddyEssence Make Me Brow and many of my mascaras. I have so many mascaras in my stash and I need to get around to using them up! My plan this year is to just have three open at a time, rather than 13 so that it feels like I’m actually getting through them.

Basically this year, I need you go really cut down and you guys need to keep me on track. Dissuade me from buying things unless it’s absolutely necessary (like 50% off products that are on my list) and help me cut down my stash!

  • Good luck with your project pan! I will be starting one very soon too.

  • There is nothing I love more than hitting pan on products, I feel as if it is a huge achievement in my life haha! I really want to hit pan on my solar powder! I’ve also started to try and use up my gimme brow!
