Apart from makeup and stationery, homeware is my favourite thing to shop for. I don’t have the space or the budget for most of what I want, but a girl can dream. My favourite things to look at are decorative features, furniture (I don’t need any furniture apart from a chest of drawers right now), and kitchenware. This post is combination of things I’ve seen in store, on people’s blogs and when I’ve been browsing the online shops. My favourite places to trawl through the internet on a hunt for homeware is NEXT, Oliver Bonas, Urban Outfitters, H&M, and Zara, but I love going into Wilkinsons, Primark, TK Maxx and various supermarkets to look at more budget friendly options.
Yes, yes, yes, I have fallen in love with the copper trend like everyone else. However, let’s just all bask in the glory that there are no marble products. It doesn’t mean I don’t think they’re pretty, they’re just not at the top of my wish list.
If, like me, you love to get your hands on makeup but have a limited budget (one more year of being on a student budget, and I can’t wait to have my own money again), there are a few things you can do.
Of course everybody knows about Boots having 3 for 2 or buy one get one half price deals all the time, but I’ve got some ways that mean you don’t need to depart with your cash unless there is something that you’re desperate for. Here are my top tips to get makeup at discount prices.
I’m still a way off 30, but I thought it would be fun to write 30 things that I would like to achieve before I hit it. These are just a few silly goals I’d like to accomplish before I turn 30.
If you’re here wondering how my America trip is going, you can scroll to the bottom of the post and I’ve got a little update for you.
Hello everybody. Hope you’re all having a wonderful September so far. As this post goes live, I’ll be in LA, and today we’re doing some major sightseeing (or at least that’s the plan). Unfortunately, I’ve got a bit of a negative post today, but hopefully this will help someone so it’s probably worth it. Because I love all things beauty, I get buy a lot of products so there are always going to be things that don’t quite hit the spot for me. And as you’ll see below, there are reasons more than the actual product as to why I regret buying (my stupidity mainly), but it doesn’t mean that I don’t like other products by the brand. Anyway, without any more unnecessary rambling, here are some products that I regret buying.
You may or may not know that Rimmel is one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands. They are seriously killing it at the moment and I love to try out their products.
I wear 010 Ivory for both concealers and 100 Ivory for the foundations. WMU Foundation RRP £8.99, WMU Concealer RRP £5.49, MP Concealer RRP £5.99, MP Foundation RRP £6.99
Until a few months ago, I never wore foundation. I had a bad experience in my early teens and just stopped all together. But I felt like I was needing more coverage, so I picked up Rimmel Match Perfection as I loved the concealer. I fell in love with the foundation pretty much straight away and after a few months of wearing it, I thought I’d branch out and try something else. Because I knew my Rimmel shade, it made sense to me to buy the Wake Me Up. I know way more people who use Wake Me Up (both concealer and foundation) than people who use match perfection, so I thought it was about time I gave it a go.
I can’t quite believe that I’ve managed to stick to a schedule for an entire month. Wow. So this is my first ever favourites post, and as this goes live, I’ll have been in America for almost a week (if I’ve got my dates right, we’ll be leaving the Denver area today and heading to Monument Valley – I’m sure I’ll be tweeting and instagramming whilst in America, so you can check out my most recent posts by clicking the links there, at the bottom of this post, or in the Contact section). This favourites post was a little hard, because I’ve had this scheduled for a couple of weeks, so this is more like a mid-August favourites, but some of these bits have been favourites since before August started. Anyway, I’m going to stop rambling and get on with the post.
I’ve got a fairly good mix of makeup, skincare and bodycare (and even one haircare product, and I’m really not fussy with my hair) this month, so I’m going to dive right in with makeup – my actual favourite.
