This is a post that I had intended to publish between Christmas and new year, but I took a well-deserved blogging break instead. 2017 was the year of theatre for me. It’s the year I discovered that theatre blogging was actually a thing, and I regret not getting into it sooner. Compared to a lot of theatre bloggers, I didn’t go to that many shows in 2017 and I’m also too indecisive to choose my top shows from last year. Instead, I’m sharing my top 5 theatre moments from last year. But in no particular order, because…well, indecisive.
Despite not including it as a goal for 2018, a big thing I need to get back into this year is skincare. I have spates of having a great skincare routine then months of just about managing to remove my makeup each evening. I’ve always thought that The Original MakeUp Eraser Makeup Remover Cloth looked like it could be the answer to my quiet prayers, so when I spotted the Primark Makeup Remover Cloth (part of the PS collection) in early Autumn for a mere £1.50, as opposed to £16 for the original, this was an obvious buy for me.
Happy New Year! It’s 2018 and I’m kicking blogging off with a bang. Every year I say that I’m going to get my bum in gear and get organised, and every year it lasts just a couple of weeks. Well in 2018 I’m turning 24, my lucky number, which means it’s the year I officially adult. I’m getting everything in order, and during the back end of 2017 I picked up a few bits to help me with the mammoth task of getting my life organised.
It’s the last day of 2017 (bloody hell, that’s flown) so it’s time to set goals and resolutions. I find this a bit of a challenge every year, so I’m keeping with some easy goals that I can definitely achieve. Nothing in terms of numbers since every social media site is awful right now, but things that I want to achieve over the coming year. Some of these do follow the tasks I set myself earlier in the year as well as those I failed at from this time last year, but this time I’m far more focused. I can do this!
Over the past couple of Christmases, one of my favourite things to do has been to read peoples What I Got For Christmas posts. I’ve uploaded these posts in the past (read my 2015 post here and my 2016 post here) and I’m doing the same this year. As always, this isn’t bragging, this is just me sharing what I got for Christmas this year. If you don’t like it then don’t bother reading it!
Around September time, I said to myself I wanted to a watch a Christmas film every day in December. A very easy challenge for myself. When Christmas 24 launched, I couldn’t actually wait until December so I have watched more than this, but since a sick day at the back end of November meant I started my Christmas movie watch a few days early. But this was okay since I had a few days out meaning I was too busy to watch.
