Getting Organised In 2018

Getting Organised In 2018

Happy New Year! It’s 2018 and I’m kicking blogging off with a bang. Every year I say that I’m going to get my bum in gear and get organised, and every year it lasts just a couple of weeks. Well in 2018 I’m turning 24, my lucky number, which means it’s the year I officially adult. I’m getting everything in order, and during the back end of 2017 I picked up a few bits to help me with the mammoth task of getting my life organised.

I pick up birthday cards well in advance, especially when I see them on offer. I usually store them in a paper bag (currently a kikki.K bag as it was a fairly strong), but during December I spotted a discount code for Busy B and ended up buying a couple of bits to organise my life. The first was the Busy B Birthday Card Book, which is something I’ve been after for ages. I love to keep on top of birthdays but none of the birthday books I’ve seen about have had space for cards. This was exactly what I was looking for and I’m chuffed to bits with it. I’ll still be keeping my bag to keep generic cards in, but at least I won’t forget I’ve bought specific cards!

My budgeting has not been up to scratch, especially considering I’m planning a trip in 7 months time! I featured the Kakeibo: The Art Of Japanese Money Saving* book in my gift guide for bloggers over Christmas, but it’s time to get using it alongside my brand new Busy B Receipt Storage Book. 2018 is the year I’m going to track my spending, and whilst I’ve had to spend to do it, hopefully it’ll save me some money in the long run.

And as always, I’ll be using my blog organisation routine. Hayley has updated her blog organisation spreadsheet for 2018 and it’s going to keep me on top of my game. Finding a blog schedule to suit me is one of my big goals for 2018 and this spreadsheet works wonders.

2018 is the year of organisation for definite. Am I an adult now?
