Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

Almost two months ago I went to an event that I didn’t even blog about, whoops. But I swore to myself I would write about the products that I found in my collection once I’d given them fair use. So I photographed them all that time ago, and now I can finally start to talk about them.

In the Girl Gang Event goodie bag was a set of Ole Henriksen’s best selling products in mini forms, and we all know I’m a sucker for minis. The product I was most excited about trying was the Truth Serum Collagen Booster* as I know it’s one of the brands bestsellers, and if you want to know what I thought of it you better keep reading.

My first impression was wow, that’s citrusy, because orange is pretty much all you can smell when you initially use this. It’s maybe a little too potent if you’re not into strong scents. It’s also quite sticky when you apply it to your face, but not in an uncomfortable way. The stickiness goes after a couple of minutes once the product has sunk in and it leaves your skin feeling baby soft.

My favourite thing in a product is when it leaves my face feeling soft the following day, even after washing my face. Until trying out this serum, I’d only really ever experienced this using the Kiehl’s Overnight Hydrating Masque* and Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, but Ole Henriksen has changed the game. Basically this is going to be my winter saviour! I’m even tempted to pick up some of the Vitamin C range from The Body Shop because I feel like there’s a good chance that it’s the addition of vitamin c that’s working wonders for my skin. And not only is it smoothing, but it also adds everyone’s much loved ‘glow from within’ look. You may have to be consistent when using this to get fabulous results but it’s worth the additional step in your skincare routine if you don’t use a serum.

This 15ml bottle is going to last me quite a while, which I’m pretty chuffed about because 30ml costs a whopping £47 and despite working full time, I can’t afford to spend almost £50 on one skincare item (makeup is a different matter but we’ll discuss that another day). However, I love using this and it adds a little bit of luxury into my skincare routine.

Have you tried any Ole Henriksen products? Let me know what I need to try next, because I think I’m a bit of a convert!

Seems to be a nice product! But way too pricey. 😐

  • I’ve always been so curious about this serum!! Great review, definitely want to try it out now. Loved reading this xoxo my latest post 💕

    • I’d definitely try to grab it if you can find a deluxe sample size like this. I love it but I do understand that it’s pretty pricey x

I’ve never tried any OH products but this sounds really nice! I do really like using citrus-scented skincare in the morning though, I’ve been working through a deluxe sample of Origins Ginzing Moisturizer and it totally energizes me! Plus its actually a great moistuizer too.

    • I haven’t tried any Origins products other than masks but I really need to branch out. I agree with the citrus thing though, it’s definitely refreshing in the morning x
