October Favourites 2015

How is it November already? I’m well and truly into the swing of my final year of university (I can’t believe I graduate in a few months!) and juggling blogging and uni has been intense, but I’ve enjoyed it so far.

Today I have my October Favourites for you, and I’ve had a really great month. It was my 21st Birthday (scary) on the 19th, and I was also given my dissertation topic (even scarier). This month I’ve been loving quite a few autumnal beauty products, as well as having a couple of random favourites so I’ll get into it.

With autumn being in full swing I have been loving gold eye makeup and berry lips (haven’t we all). I’ve found that the combination of Half Baked over the lid and Chopper through the crease from Naked 2 is an absolutely gorgeous combination, and I either use Bootycall as a highlight shade for the inner corner or my daily highlighter.

My two berry lip favourites have been Divine Wine from Maybelline which is the most incredible matte (it doesn’t budge but it’s not drying either), and Beguilled from Topshop. I’d heard that this was being discontinued but I popped into Topshop at the start of October and there is was for me to get my hands on. If I’ve been wearing a berry lip this month, it’s definitely one of these two.

One Heck Of A Blot is the new primer from Soap & Glory and it is incredible. At £10 you get a whole 30ml of product (a lot for a primer) and my makeup really stays in place all day. No wonder so many people are raving about this product because it’s truly amazing. Another product which has been doing wonders for the longevity of my makeup (which I didn’t do a close up of apparently, weird) is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I bought this in the travel size when I was in America and I’ve fallen head over heels for it.

To bring together my makeup look, I’ve been loving the bronze subtlety of MAC Soft & Gentle as a highlight. You still get a glow from this but you don’t look like you’ve been doused in glitter. As much as I love my Mary-Lou Manizer, it’s maybe a little too strong as a highlight in A/W. Pixi Glow Tonic was another America purchase, and it’s one that I don’t regret at all (after raving about it, my mum treated me to a full sized bottle as she spotted it in M&S the other day). Although when I use this I don’t necessarily notice the difference, when I don’t my skin is noticeably duller. I’m all about the bright skin in the dullness of winter!

For my 21st, I got a new Pandora bracelet. My parents bought me one for my 18th and followed suit with this one for this big birthday. The heart is from some family friends, the Ariel dress is from my parents, the 21 is one I exchanged as I got the ‘Happy Birthday’ one twice (once from my parents, once from some family friends), and the USA one is from my brother. It’s more awkward to put on than my leather bracelet but I still love it.

Now onto the non-photographed items (whoops). First is the Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek brush. It is the fluffiest brush and gets the contour angle just right. It was a bargain for the price, and I need more Zoeva brushes in my life! The final item is a tv show actually, and it’s Parks & Recreation. My boyfriend and I started to watch it at the start of the month and we have sworn to only watch it when we’re together. I think we’re on season 5 now and we love it. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve actually cried with laughter at Jerry; he’s my absolute favourite.
