Face Mask Friday: Nip + Fab Glycolic Instant Fix Mask

A while ago I picked up a pack of two Nip + Fab masks. I haven’t tried anything from them in the past, and thought this was a great way to introduce myself to the brand. We know I love a face mask so I was eager to try them out! Today I’m talking about my impressions of the Nip + Fab Glycolic Instant Fix Mask, which definitely wasn’t what I expected to be.

I have rather large pores around my nose but I hate the feel of pore filling primers. I have to use masks on a regular basis to reduce the appearance of my pores, and that’s the entire reason behind wanting to pick this mask up. The Nip + Fab Glycolic Instant Fix Mask is a pore-tightening gel mask with exfoliating properties – basically my ideal mask. Reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, whilst simultaneously reducing the look of enlarged pores and giving the skin a more even tone. A wonder product, right?

I was shocked initially as I hadn’t read that it was a gel. I was expecting a cream, so the fact that this was clear in appearance (similar to the look of the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque) was a bit of a shock to me. Unlike other acid based masks, this didn’t have a hint of irritation on my skin. I’m not saying this would be great for sensitive skin, but it might be worth giving a go if you’re a little daring with your skincare products.

I would’ve liked the mask to dry down a little more than it did, as it just felt wet, making it difficult to work out if I’d washed the mask off properly. My pores do look visibly reduced with each use, and I’d definitely look into buying the Nip + Fab Glycolic Instant Fix Mask if I finish this tube off. It’s not ridiculously expensive, although it is on the higher end of drugstore masks, meaning it’s been a pretty good addition to my face mask stash.

I love my Face Mask Friday posts, but this will be my last post for a while. Similarly to my declutter series, now I’ve set dates for them I’m just not interested in writing them. This is why I could never work for myself – I get into a routine, get bored and stop. Oh well! I’ll keep reviewing face masks as and when I feel like I want to share something, but for now this is the end of Face Mask Friday. Expect more travel (I’m off to Brighton tomorrow, and have two posts still to finish from August) and lifestyle on a Friday instead of just skincare in the future!
