Whilst I’ve not been buying a whole lot of makeup recently (let’s be honest, all my money is going on theatre tickets), in December I did treat myself to some new bits in the Boxing Day sales – and the pre-Christmas sales – as well as getting a couple of products for Christmas. I’m finally getting around to sharing these goodies so that I can finally review them for you in the coming weeks. This is also my last new in my makeup stash type post that will include non-cruelty free products that I’ll have bought for myself as I went CF with my beauty buys this year.
One of my favourite brands at the moment is Tarte. In both early December and during the Boxing Day sales I picked up a fair few items including the coveted Tarte Tape Shape Concealer (which I still haven’t tried because I’m trying to use up my non-CF concealers first which you can read more about below), a few of their best selling miniatures such as the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, the Tarte Maneater Liquid Eyeliner and the Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Strut. I also picked up a Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Ornate, the Tarte Colour Splash Hydrating Lipstick in Surf’s Up, the Tarte Ready, Set, Radiant Skin Mist and the Tarte Blush Bazaar Palette. Lots and lots of Tarte to start me off in 2018!
I don’t want to talk too much about my Boxing Day sales purchases because I’ve already spoken about them, but I’ve got some fun Clarins lip purchases and the Tanya Burr Beauty & The Feast Set. I’ve also shared my Christmas presents from my parents: the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and a new bottle of the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (one of my all time favourites). But prior to my declaration of only cruelty free makeup, I stocked up on my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer as it’s so difficult to get my shade. This wasn’t deliberate, but it was something that happened. I’m going to use these three tubes up first before testing my brand new Tarte concealer, and I hope I love it just as much since Maybelline isn’t CF!
Lots of new makeup for me to play with this, which means lots of reviews on the non-seasonal items coming your way in the next few months. I know a lot of you probably initially followed me for the beauty posts and I’ve moved onto lifestyle (and definitely theatre), but I promise there are more beauty posts coming over the coming weeks and months. What’s new in your makeup stash? Tell me your favourite purchases of recent weeks!
