After my splurge at the start of the month, it’s only fair that I let you know how I got on with the products that I bought. Today’s product is a Nars Blush which I’ve had my eye on for a little while – Sin.
We all know that Orgasm is one of Nars’ most well-known and well-loved products, and it’s one that I have myself, but I needed a winter blush in my life and that’s where Sin came in.
Sin is a mauve/berry tone which I thought would be beautiful for autumn and winter (because it’s officially not winter until December, so we’re still in autumn no matter what you say) as it’s not pink like most of my blushes. To be honest, I haven’t been wearing a lot of blush recently and I especially forgo it in the cooler months as my cheeks do not need a pink flush (and coral is totally wrong for this time of year).
This berry with a slight gold shimmer (although I’d definitely say it’s more of a sheen; it’s not as glitter heavy as Orgasm) is incredibly pigmented so you definitely need a light hand. A little definitely goes a long way! I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re a beginner to blush just because of how easy it is to dust on a tiny bit too much and we all know that’s a poor look. It glides on smoothly, wears all day and proves that a slightly pricier product is quite often worth it.
Thank you Nars for creating the perfect berry blush for this time of year! I’m ready for the Christmas festivities so that I can wear this and hope that people notice that I’ve actually made an effort (ha). It’s definitely worth the £23 price tag to me. I think my next Nars blush buy is Dolce Vita, but they’re pretty pricey for a girl who doesn’t wear blush all that often so maybe I’ll treat myself in the New Year as it seems like the perfect season transition blush – not quite winter, not quite spring.
