My Mascara Collection

The makeup product I have the biggest love-hate relationship with is mascara. I find it very difficult to find one that works for me, and when I do manage to, after a couple of tubes I don’t like it anymore.

Top – Bottom: Rimmel Kate Moss Idol eyes, Seventeen Doll’d Up, W7 Lashtastic, No 7 Intense Volume, Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express, Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde, Diego Dalla Palma Ciglione, No 7 Midnight Lash, Benefit They’re Real, Maybelline One By One, Benefit Roller Lash, Clarins Be Long.

So without further ado, here is my mascara collection.

As you can see, I mainly have drugstore mascaras. Mainy because I find that high end mascaras don’t tend to do much more for the significant price you pay. The mascaras which are repurchases for me are Seventeen Doll’d Up and No 7 Extreme Volume (I actually used the latter in Waterproof on my holiday). I still like these mascaras, and would probably repurchase, although not but for a while as my collection is getting out of hand.

My most recent mascaras in my collection are the W7 Lashtastic, as this was only £2 in B&M, and you can’t really go wrong for £2, and Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express. I’m really impressed with the Maybelline mascara and I can’t believe I’ve not tried it out before.

My favourite mascara in my collection up until very recently is the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde. It makes my lashes so volumised but also seem to lengthen them. This is definitely one to try if you’re yet to do so. However, I do change up what mascara I wear most days, so if you were to ask what I was wearing, chances are, I wouldn’t be wearing this.

I go through phases of liking the Benefit Mascaras, just like all high end mascaras. I feel like they should do more for the money. I don’t like the Clarins Be Long I have but I don’t want to bin it as I’m a serious makeup hoarder. I’m hoping that I will fall in love with it, and if by Christmas (when I do my big sort out each year) I’m still not loving it, it’ll be heading for the bin.

I’m very opinionated on mascara, but in a way that’s difficult to explain. I just think it’s very difficult to find a mascara that does everything I want to do.

What is your favourite mascara? Do you have one you think I should try? Let me know.

PS. Since scheduling this, I also picked up Maybelline Lash Sensational to try, and it’ll be making an appearance in Friday’s post.
