I flipping love trying new concealers but I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed one on Essential Twenty. Well today that’s going to change! The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer made a brief appearance in my winter favourites post, and it’s about time that I review it in full.
I’d heard people rave about this for the longest time, but I was happy with my stash. That was until I was starting to struggle with finding a concealer to travel with. I love a creamy concealer to cover spots with and something a little lighter under my eyes to brighten the area, and this does both!
After applying my foundation, I blend this out with a beauty sponge under my eyes and on any blemishes. It’s a real winner! It’s light enough to not look cakey on my face but heavy enough to cover any and all problem areas. Could you ask for me in a concealer? It doesn’t crease, it looks perfect all day on top of the right foundation, and it really blew me out of the water when I picked it up last summer. I use it most days, both for work and for going out, and I couldn’t ask for much more in a concealer.
I only have 2 problems with this Maybelline marvel. The first is that the lightest shade is 15 and the second lightest is 10 – no sense in that system! The second thing is that the fairest shade still isn’t that fair. 10 is pretty perfect for covering spots on me, but it’s a little bit darker than I’d like it to be under my eyes. In the middle of winter I have to mix it with a slightly lighter shade, but it works perfectly in the summer months.
If you’re not super pale, I’d definitely look into picking this up. For a mere £5.99 (and frequently on offer) this might just become one of your favourite concealers, like it is mine. Have you tried Maybelline Fit Me?
