Face Mask Friday: Lush Mask of Magnaminty

A product I’ve been meaning to try for years is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. I’ve heard amazing things about it over the years, but I don’t love spending money on Lush face masks as they need to be kept in the fridge and have a short use by date. I spotted a self-preserving formula of the Mask of Magnaminty around a month ago and I’ve been using it a couple of times a week ever since!

The first thing that hits you when you open it, other than the less than inviting colour, is the smell. Laced with peppermint oil and honey, this has a sweet after dinner scent. Honestly it reminds me of After Eight which is the ultimate after dinner choc so I’m more than up for rubbing it all over my face.

Using a flat foundation brush, like I do with all face masks, I apply this in a fairly thick layer (although a little does go a long way) all over my face. Of course I pay attention to problem areas as the Mask of Magnaminty is known to work wonders for those with blemish prone skin, but after leaving for 5-10 minutes I scrub my face and wash off. If you’re feeling a little more extravagant, this can also be used as a quick scrub, but personally I enjoy it as a mask.

After just one use, my skin looked brighter and my skin looked tighter. After a couple of weeks there was less redness in my skin. And now, almost a month later, my face is looking how it should again. The blackheads on my nose even seem to be reducing, which is something I’m very conscious about and am forever trying to find products to help with.

Alongside all these huge benefits, it also balances my skin! I have normal/combination skin, and on oily days my face seems to be a little drier, but the mask doesn’t strip my face on dry days. It’s a real winner of a mask. Have you tried the Mask of Magnaminty?
