Laura Geller Perfectly Pink

on January 5, 2017

Laura Geller is a brand that I’ve heard a lot about but never tried anything from. Gilded Honey is one of those highlighters that everyone bangs on about so when I received it in the Feel Unique Advent Calendar I was so excited. But knowing this was coming, I preemptively bought the Laura Geller Perfectly Pink set as it was around £19 including shipping from Escentual during the Black Friday sale. Retailing for £45, but containing over £100 worth of product, I was hardly going to say no!

This set includes the Colour Brilliance Lipstick in Wink (RRP: £17), the StyleLASH Mascara (RRP: £19), the Baked Gelato Vivid Swirl Blush in Rosewater (RRP: £21), the Balance n Brighten Baked Correcting Foundation in Medium (RRP: £26) and the Spackle Colour Correcting Under Makeup Primer (RRP: £24). Every item in this set is full sized, and even includes a powder brush so it was a real bargain at £45, let alone at under £20!

The lipstick in this set is a creamy, mid-tone pink which doesn’t particularly suit me so I will be passing this on to a friend next time I do a clear out and bag up of my stash. However, it has a beautiful consistency and you can see a swatch here (as I realised I forgot to swatch it before I started writing this post). As the the bullet is quite streamline, it would be easy to get a precise application which is obviously the dream, and I’ll definitely be looking out for colours that are a little more me.

I’m yet to try the mascara as I have so many unopened to get through, but having a look at the wand it doesn’t look like it’s going to be my favourite or a ‘wow’ product to me. But I’m always willing to give a new mascara a go, and if I’m proved wrong it may get a post all by itself.

The foundation powder is a bit of a pain as it comes in a particular shade which is a little dark for me, but it is just pale enough to work in the summer (or when I pull my finger out and get some fake tan on my body).

I am in love with the primer in this set. It makes my makeup last all day and sits beautifully on the skin. And with 59ml in the tube it’s sure to last a long time! I’ve been using this most days for work and I’m a huge fan.

The blush to me is the main event and the real reason I got this set. This is a mid-toned rosy pink and gives a beautiful flush to the cheeks, making it an obvious choice to use as spring makes its way in. I love the 3D effect on the top and the blush has a long wear time on the cheeks which is a huge bonus.

I can’t wait to discover more Laura Geller products throughout 2017, and get more use out of these products. This set was definitely worth the money and you need to keep your eye out for other sets like this!

  • I haven’t really tried many Laura Geller products before, but I have one dual eyeliner and eyeshadow brush and I swear by it! I’ve always wanted to try more but not been sure where to start – that blush looks stunning!

  • I’ve tried a few Laura Geller products before (love the liquid eyeliners!) but I am really wanting to try some of their blushes as they are so raved about! Rosewater is such a pretty shade. x
