It’s been almost a year since I walked away from The Girl Gang event in Manchester with a loaded goodie bag and I still haven’t tried half of the products. That’s bad, isn’t it? Well with the weather being as hot as it was a recently, it seemed the right time to get out all of my sprays. I’d heard amazing things about the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist* and decided that was going to be my product of choice for cooling my sweaty face down in the humidity.
Acting as a toning mist, the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is a skincare solution to restore and hydrate the complexion. Whilst I was simply using it to cool myself down, I did notice that my skin felt hydrated but not in a sweaty way. This maintains balance and is ideal for normal/combination skin, although dry skin may find it a little stripping due to the alcohol content. I personally don’t rate this as a toner, as I tend to use a toner to rebalance my skin (big tick here), but then I wipe it off to remove the final bits of dirt clogging up my pore. For me, this is definitely more of a facial spritz.
Key ingredients in this cult favourite from Jurlique are marshmallow and glycerine (to prevent moisture loss, as well as hydrating and softening the skin), rose and aloe vera (to calm the skin), and grapefruit seed extract (and antioxidant to protect). Whilst the rose scent isn’t too overpowering, if you’re not a fan of scented products I’d probably steer clear. I quite like it, but I can understand why people would want to leave alone. The scent actually takes me back to my days of making perfume in the garden – you know, rose in water and let it sit for hours in the sun whilst you forgot about it? Either way, I’ve really enjoyed using this. Although it won’t be joining my travel skincare items as the bottle is glass and I can guarantee it’ll smash on the plane.
Have you tried this little gem? I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase or not when I use it up but I’m pretty chuffed to have it in my collection right now.
