I try a lot of skincare. Like, a lot. But I always find myself repurchasing the Garnier Micellar Water for a few reasons which I’m going to share with you today. This is the final post I have scheduled due to my holiday (I’m probably on a downer with post-holiday blues right now), but that means you can expect my regular posting schedule back soon.
Onto the actual product itself, the Garnier Micellar Water was the first ‘drugstore’ micellar water that ever really got attention. Everyone knew about Bioderma, but at the time it was a lot of money to spend on what looks like water. There are three main reasons that I keep repurchasing this particular micellar water, and those are as follows.
It’s budget friendly. When I discovered the Garnier Micellar Water, I was a student. I needed a product that wasn’t going to break the bank and when the 400ml bottle was frequently on offer for £3, it was a real budget buy. It’s still often on offer, and recently I’ve managed to pick up a whopping 700ml bottle for £5. Can’t complain about that.
It removes waterproof eye makeup. Most micellar waters seem to fail in this department, but with this product you can guarantee all traces of makeup will be removed without having to scrub at your face. My personal favourite way to use this product is by applying it large oval cotton pads (such as my favourites from Wilko), pressing it onto my eyes and holding for a few seconds. I then wipe and hey presto, the majority of my eye makeup is gone. I then repeat to ensure all is removed.
It doesn’t irritate. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, but I do have sensitive eyes. Either way, this doesn’t irritate any part of me which is a real winner.
The original water is much better than the facial wash, and I will continue to use this until I find something that beats it…which is highly unlikely. Thank you Garnier Micellar Water for being a must have in my Boots basket!
