Foundation Declutter, Summer 2017

Foundation Declutter | Essential Twenty

I’ve got just a short declutter for you today as I move onto my foundation stash. I’m not a huge trier of different foundations, and these are only disappearing from my stash as they’re old and need to be binned.

The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation has been untouched by me since last summer, simply because the shade I have is quite orange and only works when I have a tan. Whilst I have a tan from my holiday now it’s still not going to work too well as it’s starting to separate. I think the only option I have is to chuck it before it wreaks havoc on my skin.

I picked up this Anovia Foundation in Tesco about a year ago and it hasn’t been used. I don’t even know the shade! It was only £1 so not a huge waste of money, but I really don’t know why I bought it in the first place. I was obviously feeling very impulsive that day (as I am most of the time that I buy makeup).

The final foundation I’m decluttering is the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid which I picked up around the same time as the Anovia foundation. I’ve used this a few times and really like it on application but my skin just seems to eat it up. I’ve tried so many different primers and setting sprays with this foundation, and nothing works. In fact, it’s put me off all Maybelline foundations, even though I’ve heard great things about the Fit Me (and I love its sister concealer).

I’m not very brave with foundation, and stick to my favourites, but I have recently purchased a couple to try out that I’ve heard great things about and will hopefully have reviews up of in the next couple of months.

Have you tried any of these foundations?
