Eye Primer Declutter, Summer 2017

Eye Primer Declutter | Essential Twenty

Another short one for you today as I can’t quite bring myself to look at my black liquid liners. Who knew you could collect so many of the same product? I’m getting rid of my eye primers today, and there are only a couple to get rid of. This is because I love the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion or just using concealer or cream shadows to primer my eyes. Bring on the declutter!

The Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer is an oldie. It’s been in my collection since I went to America 2 years ago and it’s definitely time to say goodbye. I’ve noticed on the odd occasion that I’ve used it recently that it is a little lumpy and doesn’t keep my eyeshadow on for the same amount of time as it has done in the past. I didn’t hate it but I won’t be repurchasing this. To be fair, it’s only in my collection as it came free with the Lorac Pro palette (which I don’t use nearly enough but couldn’t bring myself to declutter.

The second primer I’m getting rid of is the TheBalm Put A Lid On It Eye Lid Primer. Like face primers that I hate, this is a little too silicone based for me. My eyelids feel greasy when using this, and it’s also well past its use by date. This was actually a freebie with the TheBalm Nude ‘Tude palette that I’ve also passed on recently. Some products from TheBalm are fantastic but this duo of products just weren’t my favourites.

From now on I think I’ll stick to Urban Decay or using concealer and setting with a translucent or fair powder. I know that talking about eye primer isn’t the most exciting of topics, and I completely understand why you don’t see many reviews around about them and I probably won’t discuss them much in the future. Goodbye primers, you served me well. Hopefully my declutter will be a little more informative next week – although with black liner what is there to say?
