Empties #4: Makeup Edition

If you read my last empties post, you’ll know that I’ve used up a lot of products recently and split the empties into separate categories. Today I’m talking about the makeup products that I’ve used up over the last three months or so.

Overview 2

I find makeup the hardest to use up as I buy a lot and switch up which products I use most days so it’s usually a pretty good sign that I’ve enjoyed a product if I’ve used it up. In fact, three of these products I have repurchased since using up!

The Rimmel Stay Matte powder has been my go to face powder for about 5 years now and it’s not shifting from my collection any time soon, simply because it’s such good value for money! Unfortunately this wasn’t a used up product but a smashed up product, but I had hit pan on it so its not too much of a travesty.

Overview 1

The Maybelline Eraser Eye is probably my favourite concealer of all time but it’s truly devastating that you can’t buy the shade fair in the UK so my aunt has to buy it for me. I love this for under my eyes because it’s not heavy but it’s still full coverage (perfect for dark circles), and have of course already repurchased.

Another undereye concealer that I’ve used up is the B. Radiant BB Undereye Concealer which was a lot more peach toned than Eraser Eye but not as full coverage. Ordinarily I wouldn’t have bought this but it half price in Superdrug so it couldn’t hurt to try it. This didn’t have the best coverage but I liked using it to colour correct underneath concealer. I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing but if you’re after a peach toned concealer then this might be the one for you (then again, I can’t find it on the Superdrug website so something tells me it may be discontinued).

The final makeup product I’ve used up recently is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, which is hands down my favourite setting spray. I’ve already repurchased a travel size and a full size bottle! If you want your makeup to stay on all day then you need this in your life, and it lasts quite a whilst so the price really isn’t that bad.

I’m half way done with my empties! Just hair and body care to go. I feel like hair and body are the products that I use up the most so they’re going to be quite full posts, but check back in a few days for those.

  • Have to agree with the maybelline age rewind concealer. If they just had it in a slightly lighter shade available in the UK it would so be my concealer of choice. The Light shade is still great for covering up red blemishes and I love how moisturising it is! I think I’ll always repurchase the Rimmel Stay Matte powder although it does smash quite easily so isn’t too great for travelling! xx
