Warning: this blog post contains period chat.
I have been on hormonal contraception for about 4 years. I’m too selfish to be a mother right now; I just want to go to the theatre as much as possible and you can’t do that with a child. I was on the pill for a year but after hearing other people have such positive experiences using the contraceptive implant, I was a big girl and went to get it. And boy do I regret it.
I’ve decided that it’s about time I give a round up of my month, because I don’t do too many life lately posts. Here I can share my favourite things that have happened throughout the month, and share which shows I’ve managed to get to (especially as it can take a little while for me to get around to reviewing them fully). Just a little update at the end of each month to talk about my life, and indulge in what’s going on around me right now, and what’s coming up in April.
I’ve got a little bit of a life update for you today. I fancied a chatty post (mainly because I have no desire to take beautiful photos right now as I’m in the midst of blog prop shopping), so that’s what you shall receive. Essential Twenty behind the scenes, if you please.
Growing up, I was that child. You know, the one who was out every night after school at clubs. Ballet lessons, French lessons, recorder lessons, piano lessons, flute lessons, tap lessons, the school netball team, chess club (don’t laugh) and choir. Right up until I went to university, I still took ballet and contemporary dance lessons each week. But there’s something about getting older that makes you slowly dissolve your hobby list, and recently it’s been getting me down. Where are my hobbies now?
It’s the last day of 2017 (bloody hell, that’s flown) so it’s time to set goals and resolutions. I find this a bit of a challenge every year, so I’m keeping with some easy goals that I can definitely achieve. Nothing in terms of numbers since every social media site is awful right now, but things that I want to achieve over the coming year. Some of these do follow the tasks I set myself earlier in the year as well as those I failed at from this time last year, but this time I’m far more focused. I can do this!
For the past two years Blogmas has been a breeze. But this year it’s been so tough to get my bum in gear. What is it about 2017 that has made blogmas, and blogging, so tough? I may have a few ideas, but let me know if you’ve got other struggles with the blogosphere.
