Welcome back to another Sunday on Essential Twenty, meaning another makeup declutter. Today’s post is all about the concealers I’m saying goodbye to. Let’s be honest, we all know that I’d get rid of every single one I own in favour of the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, but I’ve still left a few options in my collection…for now.
With the weather warming up, my work makeup has changed a little recently. The lipsticks I’ve been wearing have a more pinky hue, and I’ve been going for a slightly less mattified look. Whilst I only have two more weeks of work until I get 7 weeks off (amazing, I know), I still have to try to look a little with it at work so here’s what I’ve been reaching for recently.
It’s Sunday which means I’ve got another declutter post for you. Today is all about my setting powders, of which I don’t have a ton of anyway. Yesterday I briefly mentioned my favourite from Rimmel and the latest one I’ve been playing around with, but up until this declutter I had three in my stash which I literally never touch and it’s time to say cheerio (you may be able to see that setting powder isn’t my fave from the small amount I have).
I’ve been in such a rut with my makeup recently; I don’t switch it up anymore and I’m just not inspired by anything in my collection. I’ve been having a declutter and I don’t really understand why I’ve spent so much on makeup over the past few years because recently my heart lies in talking about the theatre and skincare. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy makeup but nothing has blown me away recently. Until I discovered the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Mattifying Powder during a recent clear out (oh yes, did you know I’m sharing declutters at the moment – read my mascara declutter, and keep your eyes peeled each Sunday for the foreseeable future for a declutter post).
I feel like facial sprays are becoming more and more popular in the makeup world. When I first started getting into beauty the two heroes were always MAC Fix+ and Urban Decay All Nighter, and whilst they are firm favourites in my collection, more and more are coming to the forefront. Whether you’re priming, setting your makeup or just giving your makeup a boost, there is facial spritz for you.
