For the past 5 years or so I’ve been pretty loyal to the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. It takes the shine off, it lasts all day and it’s a bargain! However, I’ve started to notice that my undereyes have been creasing so I need something a little stronger. For about 10 times the price of my trusty Rimmel powder, I picked up the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. It gets rave reviews on YouTube but is it worth the hefty price point?
Recently I’ve found PR packages few and far between. Whilst this may seem sad to some, this has been great for me. I’m trying to declutter my life and alongside this, I’ve been able to really try out new products for a reasonable period of time. At the back end of August REN Perfect Canvas* was launched, their first almost-makeup product amongst their fantastic skincare line.
Over the bank holiday weekend, I packed up and popped over the English channel for a fun weekend with a couple of my fave blogging ladies. Whilst the majority of my money was spent enjoying a few glasses of alcohol, responsibly of course, as beauty bloggers, we couldn’t let a trip to the continent pass us by without a trip to Sephora!
This is actually my final declutter post for a while. Most of what is left if going to take me a long time to decide what I want to keep and what I don’t (I have a lipstick problem, okay), and it’s no longer the summer. And with the cooler months drawing in I become a bit of a hoarder! So as we say goodbye to declutter posts, we’ll also say goodbye to my entire cream eyeshadow collection. Yes, the full thing!
These declutters seem to be going on forever, don’t they? This week it’s all about the single shadows in my collection of which I don’t have all that many but I’m getting rid of the few that I don’t ever use. Although to be honest I very rarely use single shadows and tend to reach more for my palettes, I can’t not keep a few. But the four in today’s post are ones that I never use, so it’s time to declutter and say goodbye.
I can think of very few products that have wowed me through the summer. To be honest, we’ve had such up and down weather it’s been difficult to pin point things that worked well through the season as I’ve not really used things on the long-term. I do have a few products I’d like to share with you though, and that’s exactly what this post is all about. Buckle up for my summer favourites.
