Boxing Day 2017 Beauty Haul

Boxing Day Haul 2017 | Essential Twenty

Last year I put together a monster post all about what I’d picked up in the Boxing Day sales, and I’m doing it again this year! I don’t think I spent quite so much, but I did pick up some bits I want to share with you. In my 2018 goals, I mentioned that I am going cruelty free with my beauty products and not all of these are, but this is the last time I will be sharing non-CF purchases on my blog in a haul fashion. Sorry it’s taken so long (again), but I had to wait for Mr Postman to bring most of this to me!

From Superdrug, I supported some fellow influencers. I don’t ever look at Tanya Burr makeup unless there’s an offer on, and this was the case for the Tanya Burr Beauty & The Feast Box Set. I was actually really tempted by this around Black Friday when it was £20 off at £30, so when I got it for £15.99 in the sale I was chuffed! This set contains a face palette, an eye palette, two shadow sticks, a face and body illuminator, plus two matte lipsticks that won’t be released until later this year. A whole lot of a product for such a small price!

I also picked up a few of the Zoella Beauty Christmas items from Superdrug, which was marketed as Snowella this year. After falling in love with her summer range earlier this year, I am really excited to try these bits. The Zoella Beauty Snowella Merry & Bright Shimmer Bubble Bath sounds delicious (peony, winter cranberry and mint) and retailed for £10. I’m definitely happier paying the £2.99 that I did because I have a lot a baths so get through bubble bath very quickly! The Zoella Beauty Snowella Relaxed Snowflake Bath Fizzers retailed for £8, and I managed to grab these for 25% of the price. Bargain! I love bath bombs and this year I want to find something not quite so pricey per use as Lush is but I need to investigate the cruelty free route. Zoella Beauty is cruelty free by their own standards but they aren’t leaping bunny certified, and I’m yet to decide my stance on this.

On the same line of pampering, the only thing I picked up in the Boots sale was the Champneys Bubble Heaven for £8 down from £16. The Boots sale was very disappointing; everything I put in my basket sold out by the time I went to checkout! This was one of the products I wanted to buy though, and when I popped into store it was still available. Honestly, I should’ve gone into store straight away as my local had so much stuff in. Regardless of that now, I’m ready for some very luxurious baths in 2018!

My last ever Clarins purchase (unless they go CF) was this Clarins Precious Lips Collection from John Lewis. I saw this for £20 before Christmas and was very tempted since it contained two of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors which I’ve had my eye on for a while now. With a third off I was hardly going to say no!

I wasn’t going to buy anything from Tarte as I bought a couple of bits earlier in December, but when I was the Tarte Limited Edition Blush Bazaar Palette for £19 down from £42, I’d be a mad woman to pass that up! Tarte were also offering free delivery over £30 so I added the Tarte Brightening Bundle Spray & Sponge Set to my order to take the price over the threshold. Plus, I’ve heard good things about Tarte blending sponges so it was a great chance to try them.

I also bought a few other bits in the sale including some stationery, Christmas cards and wrapping paper for next year and some clothes, but really nothing worth sharing. Some of it may appear at some point but it won’t be for a little while. I also purchased some gifts for friends and family members with upcoming birthdays but I daren’t share them on here in case they see!

Did you pick up any fab bargains in the sales last month? Let me know; I’d love to see your purchases.
