Face Mask Friday: The Body Shop Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask

The Body Shop Acai Mask | Essential Twenty

I had a bit of a skincare moment in April, buying a ton of drugstore and high end skincare just because I fancied it. I think I’m finally getting around to reviewing some more of it and today is all about The Body Shop Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask which I managed to get a whopping 40% off on (which is rare as usually the expert face masks are excluded from any deals).

A real superfood mask, this mask is inspired by the rituals of Amazon tribes, blending acai berry, guarana and babassu oil from Brazil to give a wake up call to the skin. This mask exfoliates to help the skin look wide awake as well smelling beautiful. I use a lot of acid exfoliants at the moment, but sometimes your face needs something a little harsher and this has been one of my go-to products for a physical exfoliant in recent weeks. After using this mask, my face feels smoother and my pores do look visibly reduced.

I’ve been using this mask 1-2 times per week; applying with a brush and removing by using a muslin cloth and warm water in circular motions. My skin looks brighter and feels so much smoother. A real winner of a mask! However, it’s not cheap. This is definitely on the luxury end of drugstore masks, but if you need a boost then this might just be the ticket.

This mask is 100% vegan, and doesn’t contain any parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil either. Honestly, this might just be one of my favourite masks at the moment. I can’t wait to try a few more masks from this range (other than the Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask, which I have actually already tried and have a full review coming next week). Have you tried any of these masks yet? I think the honey one is next on my list!
