Blogmas Day 1: November Favourites

How is it December? How has the year flown this fast? It seems like yesterday I was in America yet that was three months ago! But I’m excited because December is my favourite month and I have lots of exciting things planned – including Blogmas! Yes, I am taking part in Blogmas this month so you can check back here every morning at 8am GMT for a new festive themed post. In fact, this is the only post until after Christmas that won’t have a festive spin.

Day 1

My favourites this month are few and far between, especially since I’ve been rocking the same makeup look for the last couple of months. In a way, you can think of this as an extension of last month’s favourites. However, I have a few goodies that I want to share with you that I’ve been loving this month. And most aren’t makeup for a change!

November Favourites

Paul Smith Scarf It’s been cold in Yorkshire, and I’ve needed a way of keeping warm. My cousin got me this for Christmas last year and I wore it a lot in the early months of this year, but I’ve cracked it out again recently too keep me toasty. I personally wouldn’t pay as much as it retails for (I’m not a massive scarf wearer on the whole) but my cousin works for Paul Smith and gets some amazing bargains. If I didn’t have this, I would freeze.

EOS Lip Balm I bought an EOS lip balm when I was on holiday due to how cheap they were compared to over here, and now I’m reluctant to spend £6.50 in Boots when I paid $4 in America. However, this is the perfect lip balm to wear under lipstick to keep lips hydrated as it isn’t too thick

Wet Brush This was a gift from my brother for my 21st birthday in October (I sent him my Amazon wish list) and I have been using it every single day since I received it. Before this, I was using my tangle teezer but this has just got much better grip and doesn’t seem to pull so much on my hair. If I have particularly knotty hair, I might combine the two brushes after I’ve combed as best as I can, but for everyday use, this brush is amazing. Also this post gave me an excuse to remove all of the hair that has collected in it over the last few weeks (whoops).

Nars Laguna

Nars Laguna I found this not-so-little number at the back of my makeup drawer when I was writing my post on blogger induced buys and pulled it forward for some loving, and I’ve got to say I have been wearing this most days. It is honestly the perfect universal shade and I can’t believe I haven’t been wearing it more. Sure, it’s pricey, but it’s one of my favourite bronzers out there and I’m so happy to have rediscovered it.

Tree Tea Light Holder Okay, so I lied. There is something slightly festive in this post. I picked up this tea light holder in Poundland at the start of November and have started using it over the last couple of days. I wanted to include it because I know I love it already. I bought a ghost and a pumpkin one for Halloween so I couldn’t go wrong with a Christmas tree, and I have some beautiful winter berry tea lights to burn in it. I might even have to pop back and pick up the Christmas pudding one!

Ted Baker Earrings (Not Photographed) My very lovely boyfriend bought me these for my birthday and my Pandora earrings that some family friends bought me for my 18th have been pushed to the side for the last six weeks. I have been lusting after these earrings for years and now I’ve finally got them, I never take them out!

  • Good luck with Blogmas! I am doing 12 days of Christmas and my first post is on my November favourites too hehe 🙂 You can be a part of it if you want to since I have a few spaces left! Or will you be all Christmas-d out with blogmas and all? 😀 I included a lip balm in my favourites but it wasn’t the EOS one. I have never tried EOS. I really want to but get worried before spending since it is more expensive than other lip balms. What makes it worth the money?

    • EOS is super moisturising but not tacky so you can put matte lipsticks over the top. There is no way that I’d pay more than £2/3 on it, so I’d try to get it from America if you can! But they’re definitely worth trying x

  • Sophie

Yay more blogmas posts to read! I really want to get my hands on a wet brush I am fed up of my tangle teaser flying out of my hands!

    • I’ve never actually tried Hoola – I really need to treat myself. Laguna is so worth the few pounds more though! x
