I am very lazy with my brows. I have them threaded every now and again to neaten them up but they’re not sparse so not a lot is required when it comes to putting makeup on, but I know it really pulls a look together if I do. And that’s where Benefit Gimme Brow comes in.
I’d been meaning to try it out for ages but just never got around to it, mainly because I saw it as an overpriced brow gel, until Glamour were giving a sample size away a couple of months ago. And it has changed my brow game.
First things first, it is not an overpriced brow gel. This has as much pigmentation as fully filling your brows which means that I can be lazy and not pull out 101 eyebrows kits to get a good powder match. I really don’t like brow pencils, but I find that I can get the look of well groomed brows with this one product as opposed to a pencil and a gel.
Due to the tiny brush, you can be very precise with this unlike a number of brow gels on the market. I tend to use the very tip to line where the base of my brows are, then brush the wand through my brows. It really is as simple as that! It seems to create brow fibres where I’m lacking but brush my brows and keep them in place all day. I love it.
My only criticism is that this is a tiny bit dark for me, and it’s the lightest shade. I appreciate benefit bringing out more shades of their brow products but my brows are still not as dark as this (so how do very blonde people cope?). If I do a full face of makeup it isn’t too obvious, but I can’t really use this on a light makeup or no-makeup makeup day. I don’t think I’d use this as a brow over powder as I think it would be too much for my brows, although it may work if you’re after a very strong brow.
That being said, I’m so close to running out of this and I will definitely be picking up a new, full size Gimme Brow in the near future! If you’ve not tried this then definitely give it a go.
