I’m currently without a laptop, and I don’t think you quite understand how much of a blogging funk I am in because of this. Then again, chances are you are a blogger and understand exactly how this is hindering my blogging life. Sure, I’ve been speeding through various seasons of TV shows and smashing my high scores on various games on my iPad, but my blog life has taken a bit of a back seat. Since I’m without my monster blogging spreadsheet (should’ve backed it up on dropbox – I’ll learn one day) which has enough content ideas to blog daily until November, I’m throwing out this spontaneous post. A ‘five happy things in my life’ style post.
If you happened upon these parts in the past couple of weeks, you’ll have spotted some theatre goodness on my blog. Last month I spent the day in London by myself and saw both A Comedy About A Bank Robbery and An American In Paris. Today I’m seeing both Dreamgirls and Half A Sixpence, and next month I’m off to see Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour and The Book of Mormon. Give me all the shows! My love for the theatre has been reignited, and I cannot be happier about this.
Okay, so the holiday packing sucks but over the next couple of weeks you can expect to see a few more summer holiday oriented posts. I’m off to Spain for 8 days in the middle of July with my boyfriend, my parents, my brother and my brother’s girlfriend and I’m super excited! I’m ready for a week of sun, sea and…okay I’m definitely not ready for sand but I am excited for a week of switching off and chilling by the pool.
7 Weeks of Freedom
In case you didn’t know, I work in a 16 plus college which means I’ve been working flat out since September (with the exception of Christmas and Easter). I am really fortunate to get the full summer off, and I can’t wait to have a week abroad and six weeks at home to really get my blogging game up to scratch. I’ve got about 100 ideas to implement and a media kit to create and I can’t wait to get cracking!
At the back end of last week I received a couple of PR parcels from Rimmel. I love surprise mail, and the fact it is PR makes my heart flutter a little bit. I’ve been having a play around this week and having a ball. My life has been all about testing skincare recently so playing about with makeup has been so much fun.
Netflix & Chill
Get your minds out of the gutter! Last night I made a huge Chinese takeaway order and ate it in bed with the last three episodes of Pretty Little Liars and some American Horror Story: Asylum. I love AHS and have been rewatching it all over again (despite the fact that there is new OITNB for me to watch) and having the best time.
It’s the little things that make me super happy, and it’s been a real joy to reflect on this. Let me know what’s been making you happy recently! Also let me know if you think that I should write off the cuff posts like this more regularly.
